95 Disco 5-speed - opinions?

#1 Post by donno » Wed Oct 24, 2018 11:57 am

I'm thinking of selling my 95 Disco 5-speed with about 136k km on it.

It's currently running good, just a 5 seater, no sunroofs.

Any opinions on what they're worth? Can I get 5k or 6k for it?
Ultimately would like a series truck so I'm on the fence about selling this to fund that dream.

Am I out to lunch? Anyone interested?

Thanks!

I sold a 95 with the 5sp for $3k around 2 years ago. It had 200kms on it...
The 5sp is a bonus for some people but at the end of the day it’s a 95 disco and assuming it’s got the Rover V8 there’s not really a big market for these trucks outside of the Rover community.
134kms is low though - you might get $4-5k if the right buyer came along...

I'd suggest taking some really good pics, especially of any common problem areas on the D1 and posting it to Nas-row and D90 forums. Bet it gets snatched up pretty quickly to the right Rover guy. Might even be able to work out a partial trade for the older series you are looking for. Hope that helps! GLWS! Btw, what kind is series are you after?

Thanks for the suggestion! Found Nas-row, not sure about D90; can you pm a link?

Would like a Series 2a. Can't decide on an 88 or 109 though.

Cheers!

Not sure sure if the actual link, sorry. I downloaded an app called Tapatalk and you can link it to all kinds of groups related to land rovers, etc. Really cool and time saving. The group was actually defender source not D90. Sorry for the confusion. As for an 88 or 109, I can tell you from experience that I love both for very different reasons. My old 88 is a 69 that is just a blast from past, but not so much fun on the freeway in the rain. I don't have a 109, but my 110 is older and rides so much nicer. Also feels more stable at freeway speeds. My kids love both as well, but usually prefer the space of the 110. Hope that helps and whatever you find, enjoy the hunt!

Hey! I had a 97 5 speed, loved the truck hated the gems system (coils were a pain) this rover has the distributer and single coil right. It looks great, I still have a roof rack, bush bar steel cargo divider and diff skid plates. The body started to rot away but a very capable off roader.

What the condition of the frame and the door jams, i think the cargo floor was a problem as well. If you are still thinking of selling send a message it would be a great drive to bring it home.

thanks for the memories. send me a message and some pics.
