LT 77 Trans Fluid?

#1 Post by JD » Sun Jan 22, 2006 5:48 pm

While researching a tranny problem I had, I ran accross a comment on the WWW. that stated Land Rover has changed the recommended tranny oil for the LT77 from ATF to 75/85 MT1. Anyone know anything about this?

Sorry to have missed everyone at Founder's day. The tranny problem kept me home. But good news is the truck is on the road so I'm looking forward to some meets this spring.

Rgds all

That is the case. I use Redline MTF.

Not that never having heard of it means anything... but where do you get redline... and why is it better than MotoMaster? :)

You want to use Redline MTL (not MTF).

Dealer list.

Got it from Lordco. Crappy Tire doesn't stock it in Victoria... wonder why??? They list it as an oil for snowmobiles.
:)

Even Lordco only had seven bottles in stock. Changing it out tonight.
