SOLD...Land Rover Series 3 Dormobile w/200tdi
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I find myself putting up my Higgins. I have owned Higgins for 7 years now and have had lots of enjoyable kms around BC, AB, MT, ID even up to AK. He is a 1980 Series 3 with a complete Dormobile set up. He is powered by a 1993 Discovery 200tdi, with a rebuilt Fairy Overdrive. He is also a RHD. Originally from the UK, the previous owner had put this epic truck together to explore around the Mediterranean. Since owning him I have had the turbo rebuilt, the radiator re-cored with a tri-core, a Tom Woods rear drive shaft installed, 6 defender wheels powder coated white (5 with BFGoodrich KO tires installed). Along with the front and rear engine seals, water pump, and timing belt and tensioner. He also comes with basically every spare part you could find for him, including a brand new vinyl top. Plus I have 2 disassembled transmissions and transfer cases. He will also come with an older engel fridge to keep those beers cold. Now with every Rover 30+ years old their are gonna be issues. I think the most prominent would be it burns oil, especially upon start up. My guess would be the valve stem seals. Any more questions feel free to contact me either via this post or send me a text at 519.802.0405. I am asking in the 22k range. Brian

Hello
I have tried sending a pm but no luck getting through.
Are you interested in selling the replacement candy stripe roof separately? Any chance its the red and white color combination?

Victor,
Sorry not sure why you can't PM me?.
I don't think I am going to separate the parts for Higgins.
Hope you understand.

Hey Victor,
You really should just buy Higgins. That way you'd have one to polish and one to use on the trail. You decide which.

I agree with Bill :D and there would be no more excuses why you couldn't come on the rover runs.
Also we would get hot chocolate for lunch again

Hi Guys
Yes I did think about just buying it and still am. But I can barely keep one rover running and it never goes anywhere. Just seems to break sitting in the garage.
Hi Brian
I do not know either why I can not send Pm's they just do not work on here sometimes. You will surely miss it if it sells.

It was a hard decision. I've loved my time exploring the back roads of western Canada with it for sure. But it's time for a new owner to experience the joy of driving him.

Hi Brian
I am sure who ever buys it will really enjoy it. Dormobiles are very unique. Stop anywhere pop the roof and you are set up for bed within 3- 4 minutes, without having to go outside in the rain to raise the roof top tent ,get the ladder out haul the sleeping bags up etc.
I am doing a radiator repair (again) on mine today and hopefully can get it out on the road for the summer season very soon.
Good luck with your sale.
