Sale price advice. R380 & LT230

#1 Post by overlandingbc » Tue Mar 21, 2017 3:26 pm

If I was to sell a used but great condition and very good working order R380 transmission and LT230 transfer case, what would be a sensible respectable asking price?

It depends on what engine the R380 is for and the ratio of the LT230.

Red what would the spread be, high to low, for various engines and ratios?

My ten cents. Used, in known good working condition.

I would say $500 to$700 for a long bellhousing R380. V8 or diesel probably the same.
Short bellhousing, $1000 ?

LT230 1.667. Not much as you will have trouble finding someone that wants one and there are a lot of ex-MOD ones being changed out.
1.41 - $400 to $500. Desirable, but not common in Canada.
1.21 - $200 ? Desirable, but super common as every Disco 1 and 2 has one.
