Hi All,
My father-in-law just passed in January and he emigrated to Canada in 1951 - settling in the Clearwater/Kamloops area working in the logging camps. I'd like to take a few trips to the area just to see what it's like - and I've found references online to ATV routes that run from Hwy 97 to Hwy 1 between 100 Mile House and Clearwater. The information states that the roads are good for ATV's or 4x4s. Does anyone know this area? Are there some good routes with decent bush camping?
Thanks!

Re: roads/trails between 100 Mile House and Clearwater
I'm not overly familiar with the ATV trails in this area for exact routes, but there are a couple connections using the public road network and the FSR's, that connect from 100 Mile to Clearwater south of Mahood Lake. These are decent gravel roads not really 4x4 goat trails. With good recommendation sites as well as bush camp spots along the way.
There are also connections from highway 24 into the Clearwater area as well.
This is all fairly thick country, so non maintained roads brush in and get rough quick, so the ATV trails may or may not be your idea of 4x4 passable.

Thanks for the info. The area seems to offer a lot of great lakes and camping opportunities. It would be nice to find some old FSRs to investigate.
