I'm drawing a complete blank on the name of it, but there is a shop in courtenay that specializes in British cars. Down by the river & Lewis Park, across the street from Georges food bar.
Never dealt with them on anything mechanical so I can't recommend for or against, but I have seen a number of rovers being worked on there over the years.

You're still mid island up in courtenay mate! ;)
Sussex Automotive in parksville does good work. He's always busy and is not cheap, but knows his Rovers...
What do you need help with?

Yup. The ,British Leyland Dealer of the day is still in business in Courtney and even has a Land rover 88 for a service truck. Located at the top of the ramp at the government warf. They're a good bunch and know the land rover.
Courtney Car Center, corner of 5th street and Comox road 250 334-4428

I'm actually getting work done to my 109 there at the moment. Some valve work and while they are at it a bunch of gasket and carb stuff. They seem to be good, so far fair, and honest. If you're there feel free to check out my grey '63 in the back of the shop. I'll let you know when the bill comes out if they are still on my recommended list.
Also they have a hard time getting parts so I ordered most of my parts in from 3 Brothers. FYI.

I've been going to Mid Island Automotive in Nanaimo. Have been doing a great job so far and extremely honest.
Need to check out 3 brothers for parts?
