Just want to extend my thanks to Bill.
My wife was on her way to the ferry this evening on our '97 300tdi 110 (Elmo) and the engine started to raced up as she came out the tunnel. She stopped near Hwy 17, texting me and trying to reach BCAA when someone pulled in behind her, introduced himself as a Land Rover owner and could he be of assistance. A quick investigation and the culprit was a sticking throttle cable - she later told me she had been gunning Elmo up the tunnel exit (heavier foot than me!) - might have had something to do with it.
Got a new cable ordered - will get this sorted.
But a sincere thank you to Bill - have not met you before, but I look forward buying you a beer ;-)

A shout out and thank you to Bill Eastwood.

Bill is all over the Lower Mainland helping little old ladies cross the street, doing other good deeds...
Was he wearing his mask and cape during the throttle cable incident?
