What does an Army sensibly do to get new recruits?

It might take one of these 6X6 Perenties:

This is Armygeddon which was built a few years ago to send around the drag shows to boost its image with the revheads who might like a technical career in the Army.

Forget about a 200Tdi swap, this one runs a blown Chevy 7Ltr 6 wheel drive producing around 700 HP and can do 6,5,4,3 and 2 wheel burnouts.

Hello again from Brisbane.

I posted a few photos of an Australian military ambulance in another post (Matts project) that drew a small amount of interest. Didn't really want to hijack that thread so thought to post a few more photos here of a range of military Land Rovers that once saw service in this country in case it was also of interest to anyone.

These are mainly Series 2A vehicles and a couple of the later Perenties which have recently been replaced by G-wagens much to the angst of the local aficionados.

These highly modified 88" vehicles were fitted with a US M40A1 recoilless rifle (anti tank) and internal capacity for 6 X 106mm penetrating shells - basically designed for close encounter 'hit and run' fights against armour, but most were actually used without the heavy gun for convoy work and forward patrol duties in Vietnam. The Viet Cong essentially didn't use tanks...........
