Help with seats please
Hi all! So I bought some deluxe seats for my 2A,(it had Subaru seat when I bought it), Terry sold me a seat frame and I purchased the middle and passenger seats for 3 Brothers. I'm trying to get them to fit and I'm not getting it. How do the seats stay in place and not slide out. The one I bought from Terry is a square frame but the others are just rail with the parts to plug the seat tops into.
Need direction please
Thanks Geoff

Geoff,
For the seats cushions that sit between the rails there is supposed to be a small L bracket at the front of the seat box that keeps cushion from sliding forward. A small bracket from the hardware store should work.

You can see the two "L" black brackets, one at the top and bottom of the photo, attached with those shiny bits.

If you want something better change to the slider style seat base.

Re: Help with seats please
Hello from Lombok.
My truck (Aust built S3) has those small brackets. A lot of the older ones also had a small leather tag at the front similar to the one holding the seat back in place. This looped on to small fitting attached to the front face of the seat box.
As a general rule the standard squabs are a fairly neat fit in the brackets at the rear and don't slide around that much.
Cheers
