Your Ideal Reference Library

I am about to purchase a '63 S2a 109 Station Wagon, and I am getting my garage ready to receive it.

What would you say are the essential books/manuals/guides to have ready on the shelf? And, where to get them?

I am thinking of the Service Manual, a wiring diagram, and then any guides full of learned wisdom from the elders...

Genuine manuals are the best. Can find scans of them online if you want to save money.

Workshop manual:

Parts cataloque
(eraly models) http://brooklandsbooks.co.uk/index.php? ... uct_id=414
or
(later models) http://brooklandsbooks.co.uk/index.php? ... uct_id=418

unless you have a V8 and there is another for that one. http://brooklandsbooks.co.uk/index.php? ... =12_77_729

Saw this in my search as well. Better descriptions than I provide.... http://www.series2club.co.uk/pages/tech ... anual.html

Great to hear you are in the process of getting a Series 2a. I'm in the process of restoring a 1961 Series 2. Have found this (Roverlanders club forum), the ALRE forum and club, and Series 2 forum mentioned above to be most helpful and with great club members around to help you along the way. The Series 2 club forum also posts a number of coloured wiring diagrams for the Series variants over the years, that you can download once you've signed up to the forum. Good luck with your Rover ownership.

Thanks all! I will post pics when the deal is done... it will be a bit of an adventure right from the start, as the truck is far away from home and I have to go get it...

Cheers!
