AirCare Test Results

#1 Post by withabix » Sat May 17, 2014 9:58 am

As I had mine in for its first and presumably last AirCare today, I was wondering what results other people have had...

Mine was 12.7% Opacity at 207,500kms on the D147 test.

Being first in line this morning was hard on the brain cells of the testers. Computer said 'No' several times and the guy wasn't very good at driving a manual either...

Did you get just the idle test or the driving test?

Just looked up my last 3 years and the results were 0.16% this year and 0.05% the year before. (Both Idle tests). The year before that I had to do the driving test and the results were 3.26% (300 tdi)

My Aircare form says, maximum allowable is 30% and the average reading is 11.10%.

Cheers, Andy

They did the D147 driving test and it's a 300tdi

EGR not blanked off at the moment (can't shift the bolts!) - need to do it hot.

It may be new injector time soon - probably the reason it is running so well!

Ever since it had a couple of doses of injector cleaner and an Italian Tune-up over the Coquihalla and Connector in February, the performance, smoothness and comfortable cruising speed have improved, but the exhaust colour has got a bit darker.

Doesn't use a drop of oil, so it can only be fuel.
