Hi all,
I come from a family of Land Rovers owners.
My dad is down to just 1 now (Defender 130 - White with black topper/ canopy). He has also owned a 110, and a Discovery 1 & 2.
My parents do many trips through Southern Africa with them.

My sister has an LR4 diesel (which she loves for towing her horse box)

My brother-in-law is now down to just 1 as well (110 Defender Diesel)
Finally I have my own. I recently purchased my LR4 from a local Land Rover dealer (Land Rover Richmond). She is in really good condition. The dealer went above and beyond what I would expect a dealership to do.

Specs:
2010 HSE Lux
Vision Package
20inch wheel upgrade
Nara Bronze Exterior, Almond/Nutmeg Interior

Warranty just expired, but I decided to play it safe and get a 5yr/ 100,000km (60,000mile) aftermarket warranty.
I am hoping to do some light trails in the future, and meet as many of you as possible.

Welcome, great to have a new enthusiast join the forum and club. Also great to see those nice photos of your family using their Rovers as they were intended! Would love to see more pics of their African travels. You should keep up your family's tradition by getting that nice shiny LR4 out on some club runs during the coming year. See you on the trail!

Welcome! Those are some great photos. :D
Pamela, the editor of our Newsletter/Magazine was just telling me that she needs some interesting feature articles for the Newsletter. The story behind those African photos would be FANTASTIC.
If your interested in helping, drop me a PM and I'll put you in touch.
Well done on the LR4. That's a great colour choice.

Thank you for all the welcome messages!
To confirm, only the LR4 above is mine. The rest belong to my family back in South Africa.
Here are a couple of videos my dad made:
"Welcome to the Kgalagadi" (It is a large wildlife preserve and conservation area in southern Africa)
"Cape Town to Kwazulu-Natal"
Crs, that sounds like a great idea. I know my dad has written a story in the past for a LR magazine in the UK. I am sure we can twist his arm to describe one of his "African Safari" trips.
