I recently purchased Franko's converted Disco. I'm impressed with the job done so far and I'm looking forward to continuing where he left off.
So far I've just fixed the fuel starvation problem. Next is the transmission and a new alternator.
I have the new 115amp alternator ready to go thanks to Brighouse electric but I need some info to deal with the transmission.
Can anyone tell me how much a stock 1995 disco pulls the kickdown cable from idle to WOT? I've believe that the OM617 doesn't pull the cable enough so I need to match it.
Thanks.

Awesome glad to hear you are going to keep building her as she should be. Did put a new tank in her or just trash the gas filter all togerther?
Will be watching this build thread closely

I'm not done with the fuel system yet. But I bought another filter, drilled it out and installed it. Not the best modification but for $15 it was a great bandaid.

I know a thread is useless without photos, and will get some up here soon.
From what I was able to figure out the ZF transmission needs 45mm of pull on the kickdown cable from idle to WOT. I now have this on my set up and the truck has really come alive. Before making this adjustment I had to downshift manually. Now the truck seems to downshift when it should. Once I get the Tach working I'll be able to confirm, but I think it's doing a better job of keeping the RPM's in a range that keeps the Tourque Converter locked more often.
It was asked before so I'll update it. The truck is getting between 20 and 21 MPG doing mostly commuting from Squamish to Whistler. The comfortable top speed is 140km/h on the flats, but slows to 90km/h on the steep hills.
