Headliner on D2

Does anyone know if I can pull down just the front part of the headliner to get at all the front sunroof mechanism/wires?

You should be able to, but you'll need to remove basically remove all the trim holding it up, so you may as well remove it to prevent damage, and to make your like easier working on it.
