Driver's window fell into door -- Disco2

#1 Post by davran » Wed Jul 03, 2013 11:18 am

The driver's window fell into the door of the D2.

The motor seemed to be working fine; is this more likely to be the regulator, or which part is usually at fault? Lordco only lists the motor with gear on it.

Yes, probably the regulator. They are not expensive.

i had to replace both the driver side and passenger side regulators in the last 3 years . if you buy original LR replacements , they are expensive > 200.00 each plus tax .

You should be able to get them locally.

I have the regulator now from autopartsway, and have been searching the internet for replacement information. Are there any tricks I need to know about?

Thanks,

Installation took about 3/4 hour, and window works now.
