NW Overland Rally 2013

#1 Post by rayhyland » Wed Feb 27, 2013 2:59 pm

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted for so long, it's been a little busy. I feel like I have been living out of the back of my 110 for the last year or so.

Anyways, just to give early warning, the NW rally will be in Plain, just outside Leavenworth WA again this year. It will be a month early, the last weekend of June, 27-30.

It was great to see so many friends from BC last year, and I'd love to see even more this year.

If you are not familiar with the new format of the event that we started last year, it is very informal and casual, with scenic trail rides each day, fun classes on things like medical, cooking, etc, and the whole event is very kid and dog friendly. Lots of free prizes every night around the campfire.

This year we are also going to partner with Touratech, so if you want to bring a dirt bike or adventure bike down on a trailer behind your Rover, we will be having separate trail rides and skills training too.

I will be giving away free copies of Overland Journal and various other bits of Swag of course.

let me know if anyone has questions or suggestions.

Cheers

Ray

Land Rover is going to send a couple of 2014 trucks for us to play with at the Rally. Should be fun. Also I have invited a certified LRE instructor to the rally, so anyone who wants to drive the new Rovers through some obstacles to see what they are like will have a chance to.

We're looking forward to a very cool rally this year. More folks, more prizes, more fun.

Let me know if any questions. Most details are available at www.overlandrally.com but I can answer anything missing.

There will be a few Rovers convoying down, if anyone is keen.

cheers

Ray

Excellent :blob3:

Putting an expensive LR that one doesn't own through it's paces should be fun. (Not that I'd be irresponsible!)
