#1 Post by DaveB » Fri May 20, 2005 6:09 pm

Please let us know if you're coming on the Whipsaw Trail reconnaissance run on the weekend of May 28/29.

Departure time form the valley is 5 PM on the 27th from the Whatcom Road exit of Highway 1. We will drive up to Coalmont and camp overnight at the Granite Creek campsite in Coalmont, a drive of about 3.5 hours.

OR, you can head up on your own schedule and meet is by no later than 10 AM on Saturday morning, May 28, and we'll proceed as a group from there.

Post your intention to attend here, please.

thanks, Dave

Gayle & I are looking forward to our first trip on Whipsaw. We’ll be staying in Princeton on Friday night, be getting there late. How much time do I need from Princeton to Granite Crk campsite?

Hi Paul,

I would allow about a half hour to 40 minutes to get there in your Disco. Depends whether you have a Series truck in front of you hogging the road...

Thanks Dave…well I might get better fuel economy following a series. Speaking of fuel I wasn’t planning on packing extra fuel for the Disco…should I re-concider?

Paul, just plan on filling to the brim at Princeton or Tulameen (10 KM north of Coalmont). But a 5 gallon jug never hurts...

Alright I’ll pack some hi-test. Just getting together the rest of the stuff today…real nice having all my gear back in one location again instead of 2 or 3.

Does anyone know if Blitz Gerry cans be packed on their spine without leaking? :?:
