Will Disco Seats fit into a Series truck?

#1 Post by Kelster1055 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 9:18 pm

Folks,
Just wondering if anyone knows if a set of Discovery high back bucket seats will fit into a Series truck? My stock seats are shot and I was thinking that high back seats might be in order.

Any thoughts?

Anything is possible with enough modification but I think the answer your really looking for is "no" and the questions is "Can I bolt them straight in?". The seat box on a defender or series truck dictates a reasonably low height for the seat squab and a fairly shallow back to allow moving the seat back far enough for a person with legs.

Unless it is a 5 door.

Having a removable seat bottom is handy as well.

Defender seats are the easiest. You can find them cheap quite often when Defender owners put in different seats.

Hi

I think Volkswagen Westfalia or vanagon seats will fit with out modifications. They are very low profile (so your knees fit under the sterring wheel). There seem to be lots of them available in auto wreckers yards.
