So having some battery issues with my 95 D1, keeps draining the batteries after sitting for a couple of days.
Can someone confirm what the current draw is, when its keyed off.
I think the computer draws 30mA all the time to keep it's memory, just want to confirm this so that when i check i know what I'm looking for .
Thanks
Battery issue/current draw .

30 ma will not drain the battery.
Does this disco have air suspension? It has some goofy draws that can pop up when the air bags leak. Also if you haven't replaced the driver side door lock actuator it can go bad and start locking and unlocking the door which can drain the battery. Door switches can turn the inside lights on and off. alternator can have diodes that go bad that cause a continual drain. That is a real bugger as the alternator will still work mostly fine.
Disconnect circuits one by one and then unhook and rehook the battery between each circuit. The draw should be big enough to make a spark when you reconnect the battery. Once there is no spark you have found your trouble maker.

I have absolutely no idea. However, I will be bringing my Disco (97) to Founders' Day and you're welcome to hook it to a voltmeter.

Some back ground, this is a 95 disco so no air suspension .
Plus I swapped in a Merc OM617 diesel. I wonder if the alarm could be draining them,I try not to lock the doors because the alarm seems to not be working properly.

You need to take an ammeter and go through everything looking at what is taking load. Check the whole system first to make sure it is not just a bad battery.

To lock the doors without setting the alram, close all doors, then open the drivers side rear door & push down the drivers front door lock. All locks should lock, then close rear door.
