My Dad bought me a Land Rover !!!
(this will be my 5th LR - sold my last one a couple years ago and have been missing a LR in my life)
I had looked at this one years ago but the owner was not keen to sell. Years later my dad found it on his travels and picked it up for me:)
It is currently in storage in AB and will be bringing it out in the spring.
I have the VIN 24402669A it will be interesting to trace it's history.
(last owner had it for many years and bought it from his brother who had it in Williams's Lake, BC)
Because it was previously from BC will I have to get an Out of Province Inspection when I re-register it in BC? ( I am sure I will but curious if I can just re-register it or not )
First thing once it gets here is to get rid of those ugly mirrors and that god awful rear bumper! and the tow bar.
Will have to go over it and decide the restoration route.
Just wanted to share

Nice. My 63 IIa is sitting in a field in southern AB - for just a moment I thought it would be funny if it had been mine!
I really should go and get it - but the idea sounds a lot like work...

It's just east of Irricana - I fear it's been sitting too long. I'm not sure if I'll ever do anything with it...67nada wrote:Too funny, my 62 is currently in Leth, AB where is your 63? Hopefully I will be able to bring it out in the spring:)
