I think the annual Filberg British Car Show is August 19th in Comox... any Rovers heading-up to give some contrast to the long lines of chrome hood ornaments and polished paintwork? I was contemplating taking the 130 up to the show but don't really want to be the only one there sporting Pine Tree pin-striping, knobby tires and recovery gear.

Re: Filberg Car Show
if i am around i will probably bring the mini. not too many rovers last time i was there, would be nice to have a few more. there are lots of rovers in the valley here, but no one seems interested in the socializing thing.

Re: Filberg Car Show
So the show is a go and it looks like there will be some green ovals scattered amongst the sea of little Brit sports cars!
For those interested in joining the convoy up-island here is the itinerary:
Depart Tim Horton's in Ladysmith at 7:15 am. Next stop will be the Canadian tire Tim Horton's across from Woodgrove shopping mall in Nanaimo. We will meet up with maybe 20 other British cars and drive up mostly following the old highway to the Filberg British car show.
The group in Nanaimo leaves at 8:00 am sharp so don't be late.
Looks like the weather will be great 8) for a Sunday drive, hope to see you there.

I've been a bit quiet on this one. I still have to get my differential installed. Maybe I will. Maybe I won't; but it is an event on my "bucket list".

You could always put your 80" on the back of my 130 for a "work - in - progress" award! :D

Re: Filberg Car Show
Had a nice relaxing time today. Five Land Rovers out of about a hundred British cars; not bad. Turns out quite a few attendees had Land Rovers at home too.
