All,
Are there any manual-locking, freewheel hubs that'll work on a D2? Why? I'm thinking of at some point putting the gear into the transfer case from Toddcosuspensions to make it a part-time 4x4:

I need to get some better fuel mileage long term.

Re: Manual locking freewheel hubs for D2?
The D2 drive train was designed as a full time 4x4 and not spec'd for long term rear wheel drive use only. Thus, component life & ABS/TC function may be affected in doing that. If fuel economy is such a big issue then a D2 isn't the vehicle for you.... maybe a nice little Freelander ?

Ah, interesting. I thought part-time 4wd would be easier on the whole system. Thanks.
