Nahatlatch Valley / Kookipi Creek - June 2nd & 3rd 2012

This weekend we are planning on a weekend adventure along the Nahatlatch Lakes Valley and then dropping down the Kookipi Creek Gorge to East Harrison Lake. The Old abandoned 1960's Nahatlatch Forestry lookout, Hannah Lake Trappers Cabin, Grizzly Falls, Hanging Valley, Kookipi Gorge, Garnite Falls and WhistlePig Alpine Lake are all possible highlights along the way (depending on time and snow levels). Dont forget to bring your cameras.....
Departing Saturday morning and returning late Sunday afternoon (June 2nd & 3rd). Wilderness camping somewhere along the way.

Agenda;
Meeting at Whatcom Road, Abbortsford (h-way#1) Tim Hortons at 9am Saturday morning or Boston Bar Husky Gas station at 11am. (after Boston Bar there will be no other Fuel or Food available until we arrive back at Harrison Hot springs on Sunday afternoon so fill up / stock up / be prepared). Allow for approx 200km of off-road travel after Boston Bar.
The basic travel route will be Abbortsford - Hope - Boston Bar - Nahatlatch Valley - Kookipi Creek - East Harrison Lake - Harrison Hot Springs - Abbortsford.

More details will be posted as the week goes on, let us know if you are planning on coming along and where you plan to meet the group.

Unfortunately I forgot about a previous commitment and will not be able to attend the weekend run. I hope you folks have an awesome time. I would like to do this trip in the future, if someone would be willing to share the route with me, have directions to pass on or do the trip again, I would appreciate the info/drive.
