Interior BC regular meetings... anyone ?

Was just reading the Xmas dinner thread & noticed that the guest list is made up of virtually all lower mainland members.... that's fine & I wish you all a great time & have a few for me :D

So, I was thinking.... not normall a good idea :wink:

For me getting to a regular meeting is virtually impossible without taking time off work and for the wife it's a total no go. The founders day is also at the worst time for us with possible Hwy 1 road closures & the 12hr round trip is just a killer. Just how it is.....

So, would any members be up for an 'interior' monthly / bi-monthly get together in Vernon or Kelowna in the new year.... Friday nights are best for us ?

We could also combine it with some summer camping trips too ?

Thoughts....

Hey Andy, What you're asking for is already happening. Pamela and Dave have been organizing get-togethers on a monthly basis in and around Vernon for quite some time. Contact either of them for details on the next one. I know the meetings usually coincide with the Vancouver meeting and are often at the Pantry in Vernon.

And... we've put a multi-day day off-roading event on every year for the past 5 years, which you were personally invited to several times (seems to me there was another thread about this already), and when you were a member would have seen it on the calendar in the newsletter -- and on the forum.

And... during the summer we've had interior BBQ picnics on weekends.

And... we've asked the members from the north Okanagan here what day they wanted the gatherings on, and they prefer the Thursday meeting as several have weekend commitments with family, etc.

So, sorry to say, while we try and please most people most of the time, no one is able to please everybody all the time. :wink:
