So I'm at the Beaulieu Autojumble this weekend torturing myself spending days looking at stuff I either can't afford or can't fit in my luggage for the return trip .... and just thought I'd mention it in-case anyone wanted me to take pictures or look-out for brochures, manuals, etc. of anything obscure
Unfortunately the window for making such requests is only about 12 hours, but it didn't really occur to me that I should have maybe posted until I was already into the first day here...but all the same, thought I'd throw it up here!
The museum on site contains a pre-production prototype from '48 "one of the oldest surviving land rovers in the world" - very cool - as well as the 1989 camel trophy winner 110

Auto jumble
Hi Steve,
I'm presuming the Beaulieu Autojumble is in the UK?
Nothing I personally need but it sounds very interesting, it would be great if you snap some photos and we will post them up in the Gallery when you return.
Cheers, Andy

Hey Andy,
I suppose it's probably a bigger deal for the general Brit Car , but yeah, among some of those circles it's a bit of a mecca of sorts! On the estate of Lord Montagu, there's a permanent motoring museum which is very impressive and also hosts temporary exhibitions. Currently a fantastic World of Top Gear exhibition which is fantastic (if you're a fan of the show) and a James Bond exhibition.
In addition the estate also hosts a number of motoring events through the year, of which the Autojumble is probably the largest. I believe it's about 3000 stalls of mostly British auto + motorcycle parts, books, automobilia, collectibles etc .. they say that "if it exists, it is at Beaulieu" ... as well as an auction held over the two days, a boot sale, and a more tradition section of cars for sale.
Anywhoo, I'll try to snap away today and then get some pictures up within the next few weeks :)
Cheers,
Steve
