Alloy Wheel Compatibility

#1 Post by jasonkennett » Wed Feb 23, 2005 7:40 pm

Does any one know if all OEM Land Rover Alloys with 5 on 6 1/2" bolt pattern will fit my 1985 90?

My current rims are not hubcentric, nor are they the standard offset. I'm considering some 16" alloys and different tires. I'm running Hankook 33x12.5R15 and I think a 265/75R16 or a 235/85R16 might be more appropriate.

If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be great

Thanks,

They should fit fine. Just check the backspacing. The Discos and RRs sometimes use more backspacing as the tires are smaller. If it is too high, you will lose turning radius. Standard 90/110 rims have around 4.75" backspacing.

If you go to http://www.d-90.com/ select "tires/wheels" on the banner across the top and then 'wheels" on the left, you will get all the info you need. As well they have an excellent section on gear ratio calculations and tire sizing. :D
