Mount Brenton, found snow.

#1 Post by Greg S » Thu Mar 17, 2011 9:52 am

I was up to Holyoak Lake and the radio repeater yesterday. Nope, sorry folks, it wasn't in the Land Rover. I doubt I would have even made it to the wooden bridge. Went up on a snowmobile loaned to me by one of the guys from the local snowmobile club. Mid-Island Sno-Blazers http://www.midislandsnoblazers.ca/ Two of the guys took me up there to do some work at the repeater and I'm glad they were with me. I didn't know it was so much heavy work to ride one of those sleds. At the top there was probably 12 feet of snow, ten feet minimum. It was kinda funny having to dig a hole straight down to get to the door, guess that's why the building is raised off the ground.

Many thanks to Mid-Island Sno-blazers and especially to Rob and Russell.
