Disco 96K Service Interval

#1 Post by sacrifice333 » Tue Feb 08, 2005 8:04 am

After doing some research I've determined that over the last year and a half the previous owner of my Discovery has done little more than regular oil changes, a brake job, and a few air filter replacements. As my truck is well beyond the 96K mark, and it appears to have missed this important interval,

I'm having Keith Robinson @ JS Performance do the work this afternoon.

Going to start the trucks time in my hands off right. :D

Keith is a great guy to deal with. That's where I take my Disco too. His phone number is 604 557-7900.

We got through half the service. 96K service is the same as the 48K service, the other major interval, except that spark plugs are added to the mix. The interval is focused on fluids. So far we dealt with both difs, the tranny, & oil, along with a few bulbs replaced, the air filter and a couple other minor details. Next Saturday we'll finish it off with a flush of the coolant, brake, & transfer box fluids along with the plugs.

:D Thanks Keith :D

Okay... we're done. All fluids have been changed, except for the ACE fluid and the coolant, which is still good.

Should be good for another 5+ years as far as that service interval goes.
