Finally one to enjoy

#1 Post by Wastegate » Sat Dec 11, 2010 1:00 pm

Well here it is my 3rd but not last landrover. Bought it off a guy on here, tree crushed it and i had a spare rust free frame and just swaped everything over and rewired alot and patched some body holes. Extremely fun driving and nostalgic haha, by far the oldest car at my school.

New brakes all around. But the motor is tired and has a rod knock, so ill be also swapping it for the rebuilt one out of the 109 but for now ill enjoy it.
The Koing front crank driven winch is also planned soon
Excited for a nice landy run soon

Keep up the good work. Is it road legal yet? Bring it to Founder's Day in January and show it off.

Looks like you're doing a nice recovery job. Keep checking the Vancouver Island section and we'll be going for a coffee or drive sometime. Please join us.

Yup I have been driving it on the road for about a week now. Would love to but work and school and the long drive don't go hand in hand haha but I will for sure one year. For sure Greg i would love to.

Was she originally a military Truck? I ask because of the green firewall and the glass beehive tail lights.

Great work, looks like your moving ahead quickly. I had a good look at the bent rover you bought here in Victoria from Kevin, glad to see it's being reused.

I'm pretty sure it's not a military truck as the original colour was red and the glass lights are just added on. The frame on this truck was pretty rusty and cracked near the rear spring hangers, must of been a big tree that hit it!!
