Waxoyl - Treating Frame
I just finished off my frame with a powdercoat and am now looking to treat the inside. Any suggestions. Where would a guy purchase Waxoyl in BC. Has anyone tried this and what are your comments?

I had my local bodyshop waxoil my 109 chassis after they sandblasted it and painted it a few years back. They told me it was pretty common for bodyshops in Alberta to have the gear for the job and it ran me about $100 bucks to get it done. I wonder if the BC shops are similarily equipped? Another option is the homemade recipe of melting a toilet wax seal ring into chainsaw oil and spraying it in yourself (Princess Auto sells the spray applicators). I hear it is a messy job though

wax oil
i was able to get a gallon of a wax based undercoate from GREGG INDUSTRIES in port kells for about $40.00 a company on the bypass will do it ,Oh In Langley !! called K&T ONE STOP. but i would be careful with the sprayers from princess auto, i bought a couple and they are trash. it takes a paint like spray tank and a serious atomizer to do the job. if you want to do small areas there is a very good bomb called honey goo. lordco etc have it. i also got it from freightliner, it is very like wax oil. all the best. rick.m

I agree with the "quality crontol" issues related to the Princess Auto tools... some are really "disposable" in nature.
There is a lot of chat on the UK boards regarding DIY waxoyl (even give some interesting homemade recipes) so that might give you more helpful info.
Personally, I find that Fluid Film is pretty good for corrosion protection for the DIYer.
