hello
Am considering purchasing a Defender 90 and was wondering if there are any garages or persons in the Okanagan that could service it in the future.
thanks.

Hi Warren,
Welcome to the RoverLanders Web Forum. Nice to have another person from the north Okanagan on board. I'm up in Armstrong myself.
Specific Rover repair shops -- none.
Decent repair shops that cater to British cars:
In Kelowna -- http://www.drakesbritishmotors.com/main.shtml
In Kelowna -- http://www.weblocal.ca/hillcrest-garage-kelowna-bc.html
I haven't dealt with either of these, but I've seen Land Rovers on the forecourt of both and they both seem to have a good rep with other British car clubs.
In Vernon --
I've dealt with Courtesy Motors and found them to be very knowledgable and fair, although slightly pricey.
Also in Vernon, there's another shop which is across from the new Shoppers Drug Mart on the north side of town. Name slips my mind at the moment, but the owner is a Brit that has many years of Land Rover and MG experience.
Now, about the Defender... Do you know it's history? Is it Gas/Diesel? Is it NAS or imported? You might want to take the time to get one of the supporting service companies, like Hesp, Rover Tech, Keith or Juan to give it a once over before you buy, even though it will cost you a trip to the coast. Ounce of prevention and all that...
cheers, Dave
