Stolen tent: Keep your eyes open for it

#1 Post by DaveB » Wed Sep 01, 2010 7:43 pm

This sent in from Peter Mercanti of Land Rover Jaguar Victoria:

Dear Sirs/Madam,

Please find attached photos etc. of my Land Rover Discovery that is currently at Land Rover Jaguar Victoria for warranty repairs.
I registered this vehicle in my name on July 30th 2010 but it does NOT have current insurance or license plates.

It is Number 7 of 8 very special vehicles that were built by Land Rover to go Round the World.
It is equipped with many special features including a fold out tent made in South Africa, emergency equipment and spare Jerry cans mounted on a bespoke roof rack.

I was informed of the theft this morning but have not inspected the vehicle personally, so do not know what else may be missing.

I shall look forward to your reply.

Yours sincerely,
David O. Saville Peck

For the record. I have one just like it. Bought it in late June or early July, so well before Dave's went missing. Sad thing to hear that stuff is getting lifted from the vehicle and it isn't even in some third world country on expedition, wait a minute? Maybe this is a third world country. Victoria you say?

lol, Greg, just paint your name on it so guys on the lookout won't get confused.

This is my tent. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My tent is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My tent, without me, is useless. Without my tent, I am useless. I must erect my tent true....

this would be like a luxury condo for the homeless living around in the victoria parks.
