Defender for rent/charter for Whistler wedding?

Hey Guys,

I have an unusual question for you; I am looking for a Defender 110 (or 90) that is available for rent/charter. I am getting married August 21st in Whistler and my fiancé and I would love to roll away from the reception in a Defender.

I used to own a ’97 Disco that was kitted out – complete with snorkel and limb risers; but sadly I had to sell it. Despite many mechanical issues, we are both still in love with Landies and would love to leave in a Defender.

Is there any chance you know someone with a Defender who might be interested in working with me? We're flexible - you may drive, or someone you designate may drive, of course no drinking and driving, total mileage from reception to hotel is only about 5 km, and we will compensate you for your time. Have you found a Defender for the Wedding?
Might be able to help out - any particular needs for the vehicle, other than a Defender? Ours is a 90, can only accommodate three in the cab including driver...

Hey everyone,

Thank you so much for your offers to let my fiance and I use your defenders for our wedding! You guys have a great Land Rover group in B.C.; I was blown away with all the offers.

Unfortunately, in the end we decided it won't be worth the hassel given that we will be able to use for only about 5 min going from the reception to the hotel. Plus it will be dark, so no one will see us ride off in an awesome Defender.
