China Head Poison Mtn

Did a little solo run up through Lillooet - Marshall Crk - Hi Bar Rd.

The fire was at the foot of Yalakom FSR

Camped at Swartz Lk. Was good bugs persistent but not swarming.

Spotted a light tan coloured Black Bear near Marshall lk. And of course
Big Horns while on Hi Bar Rd.

We didn't see a single sole once we left the Carpenter Lk rd until we got to the Hi Bar reaction ferry.

We stayed at a great little guest ranch just North of 70 Mile Meadow Springs Ranch http://www.meadowsprings.com/.

And thats it....everything seems to be in good shape as far as the trail goes.

Big Bar ferry

Hi Paul,

Nice photos, sure looks nice and "crispy" in some spots!

By the way, was the Big Bar Ferry still fully operational? There was some talk last year that it was shutting down?

Hi Andy

Yup it was pretty crispy here and there. Ferry service seems to be as per normal.... hours are posted, the only little change I noticed is that it will only take licensed vehicles.

Hey thanks Ray....yea was great to get away, great weather...but was pretty smokey in and around 70 Mile - Clinton and Loon Lk...this was about two weeks ago.
