Hey Andrew,
Just got a bunch done. I don't know what the minimum charge was, but here's an idea of what it cost...
2 rovertym bumpers for discovery
4 rock sliders
miscellaneous hardware
I'd say close to 400 pounds total weight.
$321 including taxes.
This was at Silver City on Annicis Island.
I wasn't as happy with the prep as the folks at the metal cleaning place (who charged me an additional $250) left a lot of grit behind on the surfaces and this affected the galvanizing finish in several areas. However I was up here and kind of held hostage to the job they did. In the future I would pick it up from the metal cleaners after the parts are baked and sandblasted, and go over it with a wire wheel and brushes to make sure the metal's good and clean before delivering to the galvanizers.
But the job done by Silver City was very good. If you have any closed cavities in your metal, just make sure you have enough vent holes drilled, otherwise they will drill them for you and they are not necessarily gonna drill them where you want them.
I've now painted most of the galvanized stuff black as it was for rust protection rather than the "look".
cheers, Dave
