Local club run this Sunday April 19th

#1 Post by ANDYD » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:19 pm

Hi All,

We are having another local club run this coming Sunday April 19th.
The run will be in the Chilliwack Lake area.

Meeting at Tim Hortons at Whatcom road, Exit 95 off Highway 1 (just East of Abbortsford) at 9am, departing at 9.30am sharp.
Estimated time of run is 5 to 6hrs, bring lunch and snacks if desired.

We haven't done this area in a while so its difficult to gauge the conditions of the trails ahead of time. Be prepared, better to have too much and not use it than have too little and be short!

cheers,
Andy

Hi Paul,

After leaving Whatcom road we were planning on taking exit 104 (No 3 Road exit) along Vedder Mtn road to Chilliwack Lake road.

Pick your spot along the way and we will look out for you!

Hi Jikjak, too bad you cant make it, see you on the next one.

cheers,
Andy

I am thinking of going, oh, and in fact I am now able to confirm that I will indeed be attending. I have just learned that church has been cancelled.

Be sure and bring your inflatable "friends" :o Never know when you might be stuck on the trail and suddenly require the services they provide...

I will be coming with Mr. O'doul as I have learned that indeed, church services have been cancelled for at least that day. PS Bill bring the blow up track.

Hi Guys,

Thankyou for a great turn out, I really enjoyed the day. Lots of challenges and all the "get-unstuck" toys came out.

There were lots of very Muddy trucks heading home this evening!

Looking forward to the next run.....

cheers,
Andy

Thanks for the great trip guys. My brother and I really had fun and enjoyed seeing all the toys being put through their paces. Fine job on the product placements, the sponsors sure got their money's worth.............

Bill, next time you'll have to try putting the inflatables in the water so you can "Catch a wave" and "Hang Ten"

Great photos. Looks like a fun trip. I'd hoped to go, but was busy w/ remanned heads, oil pump, timing chain, etc. :( Just need to rebuild my shocks and I'll be set for the next one though.

Jikjak, by hook or by crook we would have got you through, no-one gets left behind. Of course you would have to spend some serious amount of time cleaning the grunge out of your RR Sport's undercarage and interior.

thats good to know!

i was just wondering if my vehicle would even have the ability to get through that. i figure that i may be a bit limited because of the rims and tires that i have. i would like to try though! i cant stop staring at the pics!

so that mud and dirt would seep inside the interior?
hopefully the triple seals keep it out!

Your RRS would have been fine, looks like the last big mud hole had a bit of a sharp break over, but you may have been gentley tugged over.
