Just how good is the series 3 "Green Bible"?

#1 Post by Rob » Wed Oct 27, 2004 9:09 am

Good Day

I have a late series 3 (1983 civilain model) but my manual is the original series 3 green bible from the early 1970's.

I am wondering if the series 3 trucks changed enough over time to make the earlier manual obsolete? Is the book still adequate considering the switch from a 3 main to a 5 main engine and other changes? Is it necessary to buy a newer publication or just amend what I have?

I'd appreciate hearing back from those who have experience in this area.

Best regards, Rob

There are changes of course, you do have a 5 MB engine that wasn't invented when your bible was written but most of everything else would be the same.
