How do I meet other Range Rover owners?

#1 Post by Sunshine » Sun Dec 28, 2008 11:38 pm

Hello everyone - Bought my 1991 RR last year and now am slowly ready to meet more local people.. possibly to exchange info. and stories...

l live in James Bay but of course would drive to meet others... did see a coffee night thing happening.. is this one way to do it?

And eventually would like to learn how to do more 4x4ing up island... did get some practice this winter that's for sure! I'm a careful learner so would like to have someone 'watch over me' so-to-speak if doing some exciting stuff like wading, going over rough terrain etc..

Have done research on the web with regards to other RR and Land Rover websites... but this seems to be the best!

Looking forward to anyone's replies and meeting you too!

Hoping everyone had a marvellous holiday season and wonder what will happen in 2009??!!

Cheers, Lee

Hi Lee,
Welcome aboard, I don't have a RR but many Roverlanders do. A bit of browsing around this web board will reveal the culprits. Dave Blair succumbed a while back, Andy Deane regularly torments us with tales of his intrepid 91. Lots of RR's out there and plenty on the island. Greg Sutfin is a good guy to keep in touch with and will know when outings are planned. Try and make it over to Founder's day if you can.

Hi Lee.
Welcome to the group. If you can get to the mainland for January 10th, you'll be impressed with the show I'm sure. If you don't know about it already, read the Rover Landers home page at www.roverlanders.bc.ca
On the Island we have informal get-together's, like the coffee night we tried a few weeks ago. Big event on the Island is the June Rally at Duncan. Check out Events at my Website www.vanislelandrovernetwork.com
The Van Isle group isn't really a club but a bunch of us are Rover Lander's members.
