I was first last year. Only 11th this year.

Boy that online form is definitely in its early evolution. They've got a few things to smooth out. Somehow it added an extra T-shirt to mine that I couldn't get rid of. Oh, well, always good to have an extra. And it took me back to a blank page called Label. Oh well, I got the Paypal receipt!

RE: 200 limit

Where did you get the info on the limit? I didn't see anything referring to this 200 vehicle limit on the LRNR web site. I am not able to know for sure if I can make it for a couple of months so I hope they don't limit registration. I would suggest getting you hotel room booked soon though as most of the accomodation is filing up quickly.

On the front page of the LRNR 2008 page they open with this.....

"...So have you started to think about how you might spend the 60th Anniversary of our famed marque? 2008 is also the 50th Anniversary of the Series II. Well the Solihull Society has begun to make plans. Please consider joining over 250 Land Rovers for a very special Rally in Moab."

Hope to see the Roverlanders there again this year!

200 limit

Thanks,
I found it. So I wonder what the other 50 trucks they refer to are? Anyway I registered but have not paid. They are a long way from 200 (I was #26). Hope to be able to make it again this year!

Committed...

#9 Post by StuartL » Sun Mar 23, 2008 10:04 pm

We are registered and paid for...number 27.

The organizing committee inadvertently forgot to contact the Moab Inn and they are full because of the "Skinny's" changing their event to that weekend. http://www.skinnytireevents.com/ It's going to be busy...

There are still rooms at the Super 8 - 435-259-8868

and the Days Inn 435-259-4468 (not the phone number on the Rally website!)

Hi Glenn,
Great to hear your going to make it down. We're staying at the Super 8 Motel, 889 N. Main St., 435-259-8868. We're heading down earlier but there are probably quite a few heading down on Saturday or Sunday. Stuart L., Phil A., Randy H, Dave T. are your best bet if your looking to tag along with a group for the drive.

Well we had a good first day. We made it about 1000km to Grangeville, Idaho. Today we hope to do a little off roading and get over a mountain pass that two years ago we failed at because of snow.

Today we will have a third vehicle with us as Randy arrived about 30 minutes ago. I guess he must have driven most of the night to catch us up as last we had heard from him, when we were having dinner last night, he was in Winthrop, WA

Just got back tonight. A great trip! Lots of BC trucks! Everyone had a great time as far as I could tell. It was hard to wipe the grin off my face for 4 days straight.

Here's a couple of videos of our group, featuring trucks from all over the place...

Hi Dave,
Welcome home!

Great videos, from the looks of it the weather was cold and rainy!

Did any one break anything :?:

See you at the meeting on Thursday....

Very cool video! Some quick snaps of several BC trucks and a longer shot of yours, Bernie. This video really shows the extremes we were putting our trucks through at Moab.

Thanks for posting it, Bernie.
