From the ABFM thread...

Just to follow up on last weeks meeting...

To enhance Landrover's 60th Anniversary celebrations, following the ABFM at Vandusen, we are planning a Landrover convoy from Downtown Vancouver to north of Squamish (about a 2-hour drive), for a campout on the Squamish River and a run up the Elaho River FSR on Sunday.

There will be no facilities at the campsite. Bring your usual camping gear, food, drink and some winter gear just in case, since it has been snowing at sea level this weekend.

A number of people showed interest at the meeting.

Please let us know your interest here!

Later,
Don

Is there an opportunity to rendezvous with the group on Sunday so that I can participate in the run along the Elaho River FSR?

If so, where and what time?

It shouldn't be a problem to meet us a the campsite before 10AM Sunday morning.

I will try to get a map and description together and bring copies to the show on Saturday.

Camping site is as marked in the BC Backroad Mapbooks and Squamish Forest District Recreation Maps just over the bridge Ashulu River FSR.

I will be at the ABFM tomorrow if anyone wants further direction to the campsite.

My Cell number is 604-803-2031.

Hi Guys,
What a great warm weekend for a camping! Count us and the "green machine" in.

I just touched base with Don and the Alice Lake Campground didn't work out, we will move the camping spot to a nice location on the banks of the Squamish river near the Ashlu FSR bridge. Anyone for a swim!

Cheers,
Andy
