2 1/16" hub socket

Any Rover parts suppliers and some industrial parts stores. It is the same as all Jeeps up to 1985 and all Scouts.

There are two bolts that bolt the caliper to the hub. They are in behind and have 12 point heads.

Do you not have a workshop manual?? Some here: http://www.landrover.ee/est/varia/downloads/cars.htm There is not the exact one, but a RR of the same year should be OK.

Here is a photo of the back of the caliper on my 90 (a little different, but not much). The arrows point to the caliper retaining bolts. I think they are 14 mm, 12 point (i.e. use a 12 point 14 mm socket). They are intended to be torqued quite a bit (~100 lb-ft), so a 1/2 drive and breaker bar is a good plan.

Yep... All the same from the first Rover. Back in a time when Jeeps, Scouts, Rovers all used the same tool... Ahhh, what a world it was.....

Then everyone went semi-floating and it was all downhill from there.....

OK disco, you can borrow my hub nut socket, but I get to watch someone else bang their knuckles for a change. :D
