The 6th Annual Vancouver Island Land Rover Rally will take place on the weekend of June 7th & 8th, 2008. Last year, we had another great time. Location: Greg's property, four miles north of Duncan.
The 2006 event was honoured with a four page article and photos in the October '06 edition of Land Rover World Magazine.
Saturday is a relaxed visit and a non-scratch off-road drive suitable for even the most cared for Land Rover. We will be having a lunch provided by my family from the bar-b-que and a "Pot Luck" dinner will be after the non-scratch drive. The Pot-Luck has been successful in previous years, and as long as you bring something to share there should be enough. Saturday evening is a period of more socializing, movies and a camp-fire.
Sunday we head to a local restaurant for breakfast followed by a more challenging drive that is a bit rough and might include a few branch scratches or dents. Three years ago dents were sported by all the participants after the Sunday drive. Last year, there were no dents, just scratches, but everyone had a good time anyway.
