Rims and tires for a Discovery 2

Hi,
My Rover came to me with 18 inch rims and I am finding sizing in that range fairly limited. From the responses I received from my last post some of you are running smaller rims higher profile tires. (Thank you by the way for all the information so far). Is that the way to go in the long term? My gut tells me yes but I thought I would ask others know their trucks.
Next part, can anyone point me in the direction of some good used rims and possibly AT tires?
