The Rover-Landers of BC

Hi i'm Max, i'm 18 and I just bought my first land rover with my father for some offroading and overlanding. We have dubbed it YoLandie. YoLandie is a 2001 Discovery series 2 with a 2 inch old man emu lift and steering stabiliser. She runs great and the previous who was also apart of Rover Landers took amazing care of it. I'm somewhat new to offroading (my rally Subaru wasn't great when it came to ground clearance) so if anyone wants to suggest some trail for either day trips and/or camping spots or longer weekend trips that'd be greatly appreciated I am in the Langley area.. I am level 1 automotive technician and I worked at Porsche for my apprenticeship so older land rovers aren't really anything I have much experience with. Anyway sorry for the long spiel just wanted to introduce myself into the community. :D

PS - I am looking for a rooftop tent and cross bar that go into the rain gutter if anyone has some for cheap I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to Forum. Congrats on getting yourself a Land Rover. I would suggest getting a Back-Road Map Book of South Western BC (from most Gas stations and Can Tire) and begin with exploring up the East and west sides of Harrison Lake and also along the Chilliwack lake Road. The map book shows most logging roads quite accurately and its a fun way to explore, find little lakes and camping spots etc....

Also keep an eye on the Events section, your welcome to join in on club runs and camping trips.

Great that you have joined Roverlanders.
When I lived on the mainland there was always something going on, at lease monthly.
It's important that we have some younger members to keep the cause moving.
On the Island, we have Colin, 109 resto and use of a 110 (and his buddie with 2 80" ers. Both of similar age to you. If you can, you should do your best to get your mates involved in getting into the back country, even if they don't have Rovers. You already know what a great experience that is.
I encourage you get involved with suggesting outings, or organizing get togethers.
