Range Rover Classic/Disco axle/steering parts swap

I'm looking at a chassis for my project that is a 94 range rover classic LWB converted to mount a series 109 body. I'm not that familiar with the range rover classics but my intention so far has been to run with discovery running gear underneath. As Such I've stockpiled all the D1 axle and steering stuff I need.

What I'm trying to determine is what Axle/Suspension/steering items can interchange and what items cannot be used to mount to the RRC LWB chassis?

My horde of potentially useful but space hogging parts is getting pretty substantial so I want to avoid buying more duplicates of things I already have.

Thanks in advance

Rob

D1 and Rangie suspension are basically the same - the major difference is the air suspension in a LWB, which never works anyway! I would imagine the frame does not have that but a common deal is to bin that stuff and insert the D1 parts anyway.

Thanks, that's what I thought.
I think we are both looking at picking from the same rig. I'd like to grab the whole set up but the custom axles/diffs he has would probably make it too expensive for me

Rob, an opinion:
The RR will probably have oil filled swivels/hubs (fill and drain plugs) whereas the DI will probably be one shot-grease.
The RR swivels can replace the ones on the DI.
Did that on mine. At least if you see an oil leak from the swivel seal you also know that water is getting in there. With one-shot you have no idea until the CV alerts you. Plus its easy to regularly change the lubricant.
