Hey guys I waited to start my thread as I wanted to make some progress on the first of my rovers. This is my hunting buggy. It is a 1959 series 2. (I also have another one 140 from this serial number) This is how I bought him. Had a snow plow on him. I should have taken a picture of the interior before I started pulling the junk out of it. //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... a6418e.jpg

My first mod was to pull off the plow frame and build a bush bumper. //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... 9a088c.jpg

I replaced the carb, the distributer, wires, plugs, fuel pump, mirrors, put new semi truck lights in the front and rear for marker lights 5 bucks or less a piece

My next job was re-skinning the rear bumper and making a bit of a bumper and put a receiver in it.//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... 6d5a94.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... 2ca79a.jpg

My next project was building my own rock sliders. By the way all the bumpers and sliders were built completely from scrap. //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... 8522a8.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... 0975d9.jpg
Ps the roof was already hacked into a pickup roof when I got it. I do have a proper one and the canopy roof but for a hunting truck it will do.

I put seats out of a 08 Hyundai Elantra in it but the base is too tall so I may get some smart car seats. Another seat I seen that will work is a jaguar xks 1977. Seen them at pick and pull. I also put a stereo in it, a tach, modified the gauges a bit, sirius radio, phone booster, and put an interior light in it. //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016051 ... a27bf5.jpg

The stereo is in the large gauge hole on the left. It is made for a boat. The speakers are for an atv. They come with an amp that puts 600 watts to them. Stereo, speakers, and the amp were 300 bucks at www.crutchfield.com

Now for my next project. Air shocks. I picked some up at pick and pull and will be making a full independent air suspension system. All said and done I should have the whole thing installed for under 300 bucks
