Modifications to 90 frame?

I'm getting ready to galvanize my project 90 frame and am wondering if anyone has any ideas on any modifications that would require welding on it that I should do first. Thanks.

I'm going to make some bolt on frame and sill sliders and I've found a bolt it rear fuel tank which should give me 100L of onboard fuel. I'm temped to put one on the drivers side to but I think that I may pass on that. I've looked at the three link type systems and I watched SG come up with theirs over time. I feel that they are unsafe for road use and will be using a pinned hinging radius arm instead.

LOL, the pinned arm has been shown to be unsafe off road. Go read at outerlimits4x4.com
The 3 link can easily be made properly. The original SG design was improperly designed. If you know what you are doing it is pretty easy to design a solid syste,

Can't find anything there other than a comment about not good on side slopes. The main think I like about the hinged arm is that you can get rid of it in a hurry if you don't like it. Over all I'm not very keen on heavily modified suspensions for all around use. If I was off roading mostly with the truck I might go for a three link but I'd have to see one up close that was working first. I have seen the hinged arms and they don't seem too bad but I'll look into it some more. Either way I don't think I'm going to do any welding to the frame to modifiy the front suspension. I'll stick to bolt on for that should it happen.

I ran a hinged arm for about a year. thought it was the best thing till I finally took it out and went with the drilled bushes.
The hinge gets you lots of travel but gives is a few stability problems in off camber situations. This setup will try to flip you over sometimes because all the front axle reaction torque is reacted by one arm only and it will lift up and push down on one side only which is a PITA if you are on the limit of rolling and it pushes you the wrong way.
Lots of travel though - I could max out 14in travel shocks with the arm hinged.
This is from Sam Overton. He is probably as knowledgable as anyone you will find. If it were me I'd get a set of their slotted bushes. It will increase articulation without any stability issues. If you really feel the need for lots of front articulation a 3 link is the best answer.

I think that I'll experiment with the hinge but I'll be carefull with it. However, overall the slotted or drilled bushes look like the best setup. The three link is just too wacky for me at this time and given what I expect to be doing with the 90 and if I ever had and accident with the three link I'm sure the insurance companies would flipout ;) Speaking of which, I wonder if ICBC would even alow the hinge?

In my opinion...It looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen... I would never consider driving on the road with that set-up. Looks like fun off road!
