Found a D2, is it worth anything?

I found a very sad looking Discovery 2 in a yard near my home. It's been sitting quite some time, maybe two years and I've only finally got around to working up the interest to go and enquire about it.

The owner wasn't there, but is allegedly very knowledgeable about Land Rovers and Jaguars and bought this from ICBC for its engine and some other parts. The engine is still there and I can't tell if it's a 4.0 or 4.6, but he is open to an offer for the rest of the car minus the motor.

The accident damage is pictured, there are door handles and a few interior bits and bobs missing but it's mostly intact, underside is ugly but no gaping holes and the tires are very decent. The interior was nice before it went moldy, and it has a salvage title.

I'm wondering if it's worth buying as a parts car for breaking and if so what is it worth? I am seeing useable D2s advertised for under 2k now so it can't be worth more than a few hundred in this condition?

I'm happy to pass on the location info if anyone wants the truck.

I am looking at the grille and it appears not to be a 2003 or 2004. It ia most likely a 4.0.

Without the engine or a usable interior, I think you would want to have a need for some specific, salvageable parts before getting it. If the bodywork and interior were pristine, you could see about sourcing a TD5 out of a wreck in Europe, but in it's present condition: be careful!

Prob has the 4.6 if 03/04. I'm interested in a few parts from it if you'd be willing to pass on your find. :bounce:

Yes, I definitely don't want it, and I've just blown my parts budget for the next year (thanks James!)

It's at the corner of King George and Crescent road in S.Surrey. The owner is Bart and I don't have a number for him but apparently it's written on the building (the lower one, there are two garages there). I don't know why he wants the engine, they're not especially valuable particularly after it having sat for two years - and the manager didn't seem to know why either.

I'll grab the number next time I drive past
