Series lla starting issues/key tumbler

Ok, ok so yes there may be LOTS of reason why my new to me 68 series won't turn over.
One is that it has been sitting for at least 6 years or more. Headed over to the truck yesterday to try and get her running HA!

Anyway just wondering how this key works and turns in the tumbler.. I was really hopping that the starter would at least turn, but nothing no clicking or anything.
I think I may need more juice from the batterie I'll try charging it or hooking up jumpers.

Can't see the video but are you turning the key then Pushing the starter button located down on the lower bulkhead by the red Id plate?
Ok found the video. Yes your not pushing the start button. the key just energizes the ignition the starter is operated by the black round push button like I mentioned above. You've discovered the series land rover anti theft device!

Umm..you mean these trucks are not like any other car/truck that you just turn the key!
Thanks Matt I guess I need to go back and try and find that button, boy do I feel like a tool lol

hmm wish I could just head outside and take a look, but that trucks in Sooke.
Anyway looked online can't seem to fine any pics of the location kinda odd. Anyway will have to head out there and have a look.

Like Matt says, the key in the centre is just ignition. The starter button below is just like all the modern upscale vehicles are going to for the cool factor. The black plastic outer switch is your headlight switch. H for headlight and S for Parklight.
