Yes that's right, I found this 68 series ll not sure what makes it an A or what.
Anyway found it out near Jordon River. The ower had an add on usedVic in the specialty auto section.
So sent him an e-mail to see what was up, he said I could have it for NOTHING just had to get it out of there ASAP.
Anyway here are some pics :-)

Any good news is PO said he rebuilt the motor few years back, rebuilt the hubs as well.
Bad news (because nothing free is perfect) the frame needs some serious work :(
But hopefully my welder can make short work of that. Oh and it already has parabolic springs as well.
Needs TLC for sure but the price was right, super stoked to get this running for the summer.

Yeah free, couldn't believe it myself! Not sure if I'll keep the hard top or just save for a hoop kit and soft top.
I really need an old fart that knows these series to go through it with me and tell what's what.

Wow, nice find! Looks like lots of straight panels and you can't beat the price!

I would be interested in those old license plates if you can't use them (my initials!)

Cheers,
Andy

Congrats on finding a nice 2a... perhaps you will get good advice from an experienced rover owner if you refrain from calling them "Old Farts"...

Haha so true Rob, although I'm sure one day I'll been called an old fart from some young wipper-snipper lol
Anyway can't wait to dig into this and at least hear her run.

Oh and Andy yeah sure you can have the plates, I'll save them for us.

What money lol He never had a price in his add, just kind made it sound like it was a parts truck.
And it was in an odd section of usedVic. Anyway it needs work, but if nothing els it will be a good truck to learn on.

I just assumed there would be some money,, and I'm on a spending moratorium until the spring at least. Probably for the best. seems like I would have been canibalizing a perfectly restorable truck for a relatively minor amount of parts that I actually 'need' off it at the moment.
Best of luck with the project
